Hereby I’m introducing the tbr-pile into my life again. New year, new reading routine. All the December tbr’s got me excited, so I decided to share my tbr of December as well. This encouraged me to go on with it, as it actually makes me want to read more when looking at my stack of books.
This year starts with a plan. I’ll be picking 4/5 books every month that I want to definitely read. If I have enough time to finish those within the month, I can freely choose another book. My first two picks for January are based on a movie and series.
1.Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
The movie just came out on December 25th, so I really really really need to read it now. Can’t wait to watch the movie, which will be released in the Netherlands on the 6th of February. I have a feeling I’m going to love this book.
2. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
This series is coming out in March, and I’m so excited for this. Reese Witherspoon is someone I’ve been following activitely since Big Little Lies, and she does great things. I’ve been wanting to read this book a long time, so this is a good reason to finally get to it. This is a library reservation I made, so the question is if it will be available before the end of the month so I can read it.
3. Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo
Winner of the Booker Prize 2019. Netgalley accepted my request to review a copy of this book, and it’s been on my kindle for months now. I want a clean slate, which means getting rid of all those old books I don’t finish. So this month I will finish this book.
4. Tales of Unexplained Mystery by Steph Young
I received this book from the author to review. To stay on top of ARC’s, I want to read as much as I can when I receive it. Let’s get to some creepy stories.
Are there any books you want to get to in January? Let me know!
