“It looked like the world was covered in a cobbler crust of brown sugar and cinnamon.”

This book was kindly provided to me by NetGalley and Kensington Books in exchange for an honest review.

Synopsis: Every autumn, Moonbright, Maine, is the picture of charm with its piles of crisp leaves, flickering jack-o’-lanterns … and a touch of the sweetest kind of enchantment.

Witches, goblins, the occasional ghost—they’re all sure to be spotted at the annual Halloween parade, where adults and children alike dress in costume to celebrate Moonbright’s favorite holiday. And no place has more seasonal spirit than Bellaluna’s Bakeshop, a family business steeped in traditional recipes, welcoming warmth—and, legend has it, truly spellbinding, heart-melting treats …

Between good-natured Halloween tricks, frothy pumpkin lattes, and some very special baked goods, for three Moonbright residents looking for love—whether they know it or not—the spookiest thing will be how magical romance can suddenly be …

Sweet Magic – Donna Kauffman

The first story hits the romance part straight away. It’s also centered around the base of the book. The bakeshop which has a part in every story in some way. I enjoyed this story, though I missed the autumnal vibe I was hoping for in this one.

Love Spells Disaster – Allyson Charles

A Halloween love story. This was my least favorite of the three, gripping me less than the other two stories. I still enjoyed the plot that was more based around Halloween, and the love story was sweet.

Sweet on You – Kate Angell

This ended up to be my favorite story. The whole autumn parade issue and the costumes got me right into that autumn feeling. The bakeshop had a decent, but not too central role in this story, which brought a nice balance.

These three stories fit together greatly. The connection between the three stories was well done, and it was a cute read for the autumn season.

I gave this book 4/5 stars.
