June 2019 reading wrap-up

“Books to the ceiling, Books to the sky, My pile of books is a mile high. How I love them! How I need them! I’ll have a long beard by the time I read them.” – Arnold Lobel

And we’re on the second half of the year. I feel like I’ve said this a lot on this blog already, but boy does time fly. This month was quite intense on the reading part. I’ve decided to start clean with my reading and I finished all the library books I still had. Next to that I will focus more on my review copies I received. Let’s take a look at the books I read in the month of June.

How to Raise a Plant: and Make It Love You Back – Morgan Doane & Ern Harding

Rating: 3/5 Stars

Cute book about the basics of taking care of plants. This book was kindly provided by Netgalley and Laurence King Publishing Ltd. Read my review here.

James and the Giant Peach – Roald Dahl

Rating: 3/5 Stars

Another Roald Dahl book. Not my favorite of them, but still a lovely children’s story.

Cannery Row – John Steinbeck

Rating: 5/5 Stars

What an amazing piece of art. John Steinbeck is becoming a new author on my favorites list.

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle – Stuart Turton

Rating: 3/5 Stars

I expected a high rating for this book, but I was a little bit disappointed by it. Review to come.

Well, that’s it for the month of June. Expected to read more, but I’m happy with the amount I managed to read during the month.

Hope you have a great reading month coming up.
