Wow, January went by so fast!! I hate when that happens. I always thought that the first months of the year were the slowest. However, I have had a lot of time to read, because of the winter break and having a lot of free time from uni at the moment. And I used it to read. I read a total of 8 books this month, which is massive for me. I never read so many books in a month before. Since I want to catch up with a lot of books that I haven’t read yet, I hope I can really keep this up. I will show you all the books that I read this month. I made a book review of 5 of the 8 books I read. You can find them on my blog.
New Moon (Twilight #2) – Stephanie Meyer > 4/5 stars
Het Diner – Herman Koch > 4/5 stars
Into the Wild (Warriors #1) – Erin Hunter >3/5 stars
The Bone Season (The Bone Season #1) – Samantha Shannon > 3.5/5 stars
His Bloody Project – Graeme Macrae Burnet > 5/5 stars
The Girl on the Train – Paula Hawkins 5/5 stars
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children – Ransom Riggs > 5/5 stars
Shadow and Bone (The Grisha #1) – Leigh Bardugo > 4/5 stars
In the end I am satisfied with the rating I gave to the books. I don’t think I ever read so many 5 star books in a row. One thing that stood out for me was my rating on The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon. Everyone is really enthusiastic about that book, while I wasn’t the biggest fan of it. I do think that I am going to try the second book, The Mime Order, before I give up on it since the new book is coming out soon.
Was January a good reading month for you?
